The forum will address the school-to-prison pipeline and how to create a more equitable educational system.

Tia Martinez, Executive Director of Organizing Roots, will be the keynote speaker. In her presentation, she will delve into a comprehensive analysis of the educational landscape in the Central Valley and share impactful statistics and data that highlight the prevalent issues of racial discrimination and high suspension rates. Her data is useful for recognizing racial disparities in schools and what must done to greatly reduce suspension rates.

Representatives of CVMB Partner organizations will also be present at the forum.

CVMB promotes social and economic justice in the Central Valley region through data, advocacy, and community organizing.
